We are situated in a rural location 1/3 of a mile from the main road with driving access along a farm track, we are surrounded at a distance by other farms - the sights and sounds, (and sometimes smells!) of a farm should be expected.

You are very welcome to meet our farm animals (and even help with feeding), but for your own and our animal’s safety we like you to organise this with us.

Environmental Information: Over the past few years we have planted many trees and hedgerows to encourage wildlife, and have installed bird boxes to encourage nesting birds.  We have many owl visitors to the farm, which includes our resident Little Owl, as well as Barn and Tawny. We have regular aerial displays from a group of buzzards, and more recently we had a visit from a Red Kite, our regular summer visitors include - our ‘ever expanding family of swallows’ and curlews. Other frequent visitors to the farm include frogs, toads, and many small garden birds like blue tits, sparrow, chaffinch, also woodpecker, pheasant and partridge, sparrow hawks and kestrels.

To allow time for any ground nesting birds to fledge - we make hay after the end of June, and we leave areas of un-mown grass around the field edges to encourage wildlife.

We are located within 2 kms of an EU Special Protection Area these areas have been identified as being of national and international importance for the breeding, feeding, wintering or the migration of rare and vulnerable species of birds found within European Union countries.
